The Festival of Trees is an annual holiday event and also a fundraiser for the Center for the Arts. The funds raised benefits the Center’s classes for children and adults, art exhibits and events. It also offers an opportunity for the community to participate by donating their decorated trees. According to the Center for the Arts, they had a very good response this year. The festive and one of a kind trees were judged, and the winners received ribbons of recognition.
Congratulations to all the participants and the winning entries were:
First Place: Submitted Marco Island Shell Club, The Critters of the Seas decorated through naturally aged driftwood collected from the beach. The unique ornaments were also collected from our local beaches.
Second Place: Flamingo Tree by JoAnn Brandau.
Third Place: Gourmet Christmas by Gourmet Gals.
Honorable Mentions: Celestial by Sunrise Rotary & Starfish by April Riley.
