The Community Association Managers of Marco Island (CAMMI) held their annual Christmas celebration at the beautifully festive Hideaway Beach Club. The highly anticipated event brings condo managers and the member companies that serve them together for some holiday cheer. Bill Holmes, CAMMI president, emceed the holiday affair and JRobert provided the musical entertainment.
Guests enjoyed an elegant dinner after which a few announcements were made. Bill Holmes introduced the board of directors for 2019: Shari Fairchild, Vice President; Kristina Pruyn, Treasurer; Joetta Murray, Secretary; with Paula Warner, Ali Pool and Cheryl Kraus Dampier as Directors. Bill serves as President of the association.
In recapping the association’s annual events, Bill announced members were to be congratulated they raised $3,500 in a recent golf tournament. That money was earmarked and donated to the Joy of Giving, a local charity providing Christmas gifts to 1,200 disadvantaged local children. Adding to that, another $1,000 was raised during the evening for the Joy of Giving through the sales of raffle tickets. A total of $4,500 in proceeds was given to the charity this year.
There were several door prizes given away as well as a 50/50 raffle held during the evening. JRobert played popular hits which kept the dance floor moving at every opportunity.
