Calusa Garden Club Learns About Orchid Care

Over 36 Calusa Garden Club of Marco Island members listened in fascination to Charlette Roman and Linda Shockley, who gave a workshop presentation on their orchid collection.

Roman and Shockley brought more than ten specimens of four varieties of orchids to display and discuss, including Phalaenopsis, Cattleya, Dendrobium and Vanda.

Also at the Calusa Garden Club meeting, Linda Ariel was inducted as a new member. Jackie Purvis, Vice-President of Membership, along with President Sandy Wallen, welcomed Ariel with a membership certificate, a Calusa Garden Club Yearbook and a rose.
