On March 3 and 4, Calusa Garden Club will present a National Garden Club Standard Flower Show with the theme “Lights! Camera! Action!” Floral designs prepared by club members will be presented according to titles of movies, which should produce some interesting combinations! The event will take place from 10 AM to 4 PM at the Marco Island Center for the Arts, 1010 Winterberry Drive. Admission is free.

“Lights! Camera! Action!” will display both floral designs and horticulture specimens, and in addition, photographs. Junior Gardeners from Tommie Barfield Elementary School will also make floral designs for the show.

Calusa Garden Club of Marco Island is a member of the Florida Federation of Garden Clubs. Membership is open to those interested in horticulture, floral design and environmental matters residing five months or more in Collier County.

Calusa Garden Club of Marco Island meets the second Monday of each month, October through March, at Wesley United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall, 350 S. Barfield Drive, Marco Island. Business meetings begin at 12:30 PM and programs begin at 1:15 PM.
