It’s that time of year. Chefs! Bring out your very best chili recipes and prepare to man your ladles! The Marco Island Fire Rescue Foundation will be hosting the 3rd Annual Jerry Adams Chili Cook-off on Saturday, October 10th at CJ’s on the Bay from 1-5 PM.

The event draws chili chefs from neighboring fire rescue department, along with restaurants, businesses, service organizations and individuals. Space is limited, only 15 spots are available. Each chef is given a booth, table, chairs and an opportunity to win one of three trophies. Chefs must provide a minimum of five gallons of prepared chili and a sign identifying their chili and name of their team.

CJ’s will provide their usual selection of delectable side dishes to compliment any chili recipe and happy hour drink prices. They will also provide entertainment. All of the proceeds will benefit the Marco Island Fire Rescue Foundation in their mission to help fire rescue personnel in need and to provide scholarships.
