Excitement is building for Spammy Jammy 2016, which will take place on Saturday, June 25 at the Little Bar Restaurant in Goodland.
For more than twenty years the annual Spammy Jammy celebration has been encouraging locals to appease the Southwest Florida hurricane gods in a unique way- with great music, creative Spam sculptures, PJs and lots and lots of fun.
This one-of-a-kind event has become a beloved tradition, which locals look forward to all year. Spam is considered a hurricane-preparedness staple. For years now we have been lucky storm-wise, and have not needed to open (or eat!) those dreadedcans of Spam. This event offers a great way to clear out the pantry- and show some artistic talent, through sculpting a Spam creation of your own design.
Spam entries may be submitted between 11:30 AM and 7 PM. Food and art are the two categories – but other than that, the only limit is your imagination.
The evening also includes a live music lineup of John Lowbridge and Raiford Starke Band. And don’t forget to wear your PJs!
Spammy Jammy will take place on June 25 from 6 PM to 1 AM. Admission is free. The Little Bar Restaurant is located at 205 Harbor Place, Goodland. For more information call 239-394-5663 or visit www.littlebarrestaurant.com.
