Throughout history, women have always made a difference in the lives of those around them. Marjory Stoneman Douglas’ mission was to save the Everglades, Betty Mae Jumper tirelessly fought to uplift the Seminole Tribe, and surely there is a woman in each of our lives that has made an impact.
In honor of Women’s History Month, Collier County Museums is honoring the women who have made a difference in your life. We’re inviting the public to submit influential women from the community to be featured at our upcoming lecture She Made a Difference on March 27, 2019, at the Collier Museum at Government Center, 3331 Tamiami Trail East, Naples, Florida 34112. The call for nominations deadline for submission is Friday, March 15, 2019.
Is there a woman who made a difference in your life or in your community? She Made A Difference is your chance to recognize her impact on your life. Submit an entry form telling us how she changed your life. If chosen, we will honor her along with historical Collier County women at She Made a Difference on March 27, 2019.
Entries may be submitted via email to Joy.Murphy@CollierCountyFL.gov or in person at Collier Museum at Government Center. Entries are due by March 15. For questions about She Made a Difference, please contact Joy Murphy, Curator of Education at 239- 252-8242.
