Exhibit: Believe and You Will Achieve – Thru July 31. Museum of the Everglades hosts an exhibit of artwork in a variety of mediums created by students from Everglades City School. Safari Squad Kids Program – 10-11am. Bring 3-5 year olds for a playful adventure at “Safari Squad.” Safari Squad programs feature an animal encounter, storybook reading, an arts and crafts project, and free-choice play stations, all focused on a special, new theme each month. Explore Acrylic Painting – 1-4pm. Ages 7-14. This workshop will be an exploration of various forms of art and expression through paint using acrylics. Lecture: Mosquito Control: Then and Now – 3-4pm. When the Collier Mosquito Control District was founded in 1950, it served an area of only 6 square miles. Today, it serves more than 400 square miles and is armed with science and technology in the battle against the deadliest creature on earth.
