Treat yourselves to the sweet smells and scrumptious tastes of bakery breads, pastries, cakes, cupcakes and cookies, made daily by the newest addition to our staff, Bakery Chef Lexi! She will light up your day with deliciousness…and the biggest smile you have ever seen!
We’re also a restaurant, so sit, relax and enjoy a cup of coffee or Mango Iced Tea, as you ponder which treat you would like to try next. If you have a special occasion, just ask, Lexi will be so happy to accommodate you.
Lexi has become such an asset to our new venture at The Esplanade, Mango’s Dockside Bistro and our Llly B’ Deli and Specialty Market! She brings a talent of combining flavors and textures…. that will have you craving more, more, more. This week we have enjoyed Red Velvet Brownies with a sweet cream cheese frosting, Raspberry yogurt muffins, Sweet Cinnamon Scones and Mango Cupcakes.
Lexi is a night owl…when I, as the chef for breakfast and lunch at Mango’s, am finishing up for the day, she arrives at 7 PM to start creating her delights…for the absolute freshness the following morning. For those interested in watching her “perform”, please stop by our window at 760 N. Collier #108, at The Esplanade…let her awe you with her creations!
In the move of The Chefs Express to The Esplanade and changing our name to Mango’s Dockside Bistro, we were looking to stand out from the crowd. We, as a family team, have created an abundance of sensations for you, our customers, family and friends. The requests for my continued cooking classes inspired me to offer an open kitchen, for you to see how we put together our catering, our deli trays, and all our beauty! A “MUST DO” on your list, while visiting beautiful Marco Island. Lexi, our Baker, will be sure to make you smile.
Learn why baked fresh, just isn’t enough. Lexi’s baked goods are made fresh from scratch. NO TRADE SECRETS WILL BE SHARED HERE…Lexi won’t let me! Join us to taste the made-fresh difference.
These days it’s not unusual to see donut franchises, supermarket chains, and farm stands advertising that they carry “Fresh Baked” goods. Unfortunately, there is one important detail that is often missing from the “fresh-baked” offering. That is…when and where was it made?
Baked goods can be – and often are – “baked” on the premises of retail establishments, but in most cases, the baked goods were NOT made on site. Instead, they were mass-produced by commercial prepared food vendors and sold FROZEN to retailers who will at some point, bake them off. We don’t call that “fresh!” Lexi makes her products from scratch using the finest ingredients available. You never have to worry about her products coming from outside vendors where they are massed produced mechanically and frozen for retail purposes.
Come and taste the made fresh difference of Lilly B’s at Mangos Dockside Bistro the Esplanade.
