“The Dock at Crayton Cove, Everybody’s Kitchen” is a commemorative book written by Debby DePasquale that retells the story of how “the real taste of Naples” began. The book is a historical synopsis of the past 40 years that includes recipes and photographs, and highlights the passion that owner Vin DePasquale has for the business and the city of Naples.
Opening in 1976, The Dock has become a part of Naples’ history and is beloved by both locals and visitors of Collier County. The long established Naples restaurant, recently celebrated its 40th anniversary in February. The open-air restaurant is known for its waterfront dining, delicious seafood and laid-back atmosphere.
“We’re incredibly excited to share the story of how the Dock started and what led us to the point we are today,” commented Debby DePasquale, author of “The Dock at Crayton Cove, Everybody’s Kitchen.” “I am not an author, but people seem to be so captivated by Vin’s stories of how The Dock and Riverwalk began, so I thought I should document the history.”
“The Dock at Crayton Cove, Everybody’s Kitchen” includes recipes from the restaurant and retails for $20. Allproceeds from the sale of the book will be donated to the scholarship fund established in honor of Vin’s late son, Christian. The David Christian DePasquale ‘92 Memorial Scholarship Fund at the Culinary Institute of America supports students who are interested in becoming executive chefs.
The book will be available for purchase starting May 5 at The Dock at Crayton Cove, Riverwalk at Tin City, Barnes & Noble and the 40th Annual Great Dock Canoe Race being held on Saturday, May 14.
