Bealls Outlets has expanded their store in Island Plaza by taking on a neighboring unit, adding approximately 1200 square feet of space. While making changes to incorporate the additional space into the store, the existing space was completely remodeled. According to Regional Bealls Outlet Manager Ken Apple, “We wanted to expand for years due to demand from our customers. We were finally able to do it. Now we have the room to lay out the merchandise in a way suitable and appealing to our customers. As an example, we have expanded our house wares area, presenting merchandise in a color and design coordinated way. We have made these changes according to this community.”
Ken is responsible for more than 75 Bealls locations in Florida and travelled from Bradenton to be at the opening. Also attending was Kathy Figueroa, District Manager of 9 Bealls Outlet stores including Cape Coral, Fort Myers, Naples, Bonita Springs, Lehigh Acres and Marco Island. Dan Liggett, the Regional Loss Prevention Manager also attended the opening. Kathy commented, “Bealls Outlet is here to provide great names, great prices and new products to Marco Island.”
“It was hard to keep the store looking neat with the volume of merchandise we had cramped into a small space. We’ve reopened with a new, more eye appealing look with more space, just in time for holiday shopping,” commented store Manager Sarah Nolte, who greeted customers with $5.00 discount cards in honor of the opening. “We look forward to continuing our service to Marco Island.” Several customers lined up ready for the store to open. This Bealls Outlet employs 15 area residents and sells more swimming suits than any other location company-wide.
