One of Marco Island’s newest boutiques is getting a lot of attention from both visitors and local residents alike. Beach Daisy opened this past summer and has since won the favor of many Island shoppers. Owner Lee Ann Adams has had extensive experience in the ladies clothing field. She worked at Chico’s when they were only 50 stores strong and used to come to Marco to fill in when the former manager of the Marco store would go on vacation. She worked there for 6 years. She was then recruited by Fresh Produce Sportswear for whom she worked 15 years. For the first six years with them she ran stores and then served as representative for all their stores in the Caribbean where she merchandised the stores and helped them buy their lines.
She said that when she turned 50, shedecided if she was ever going to open her own store, this would be the time to do so.
Lee Ann is proud of her great staff, who are fun and service oriented. They also tell you the truth when you try on clothing that isn’t suitable for you. They will be honest and suggest other things which may be more flattering. Patti Kaplan from Peru just was promoted to assistant manager. Marketing Director, Susan Johnson, managed the Cheeca Lodge and Spa, a five star resort in Islamorada, where she set up and ran their retail shop. Beach Daisy’s goal is to create phenomenal service, one example of which occurred just the other day when a shopper came by on her bicycle and Lee Ann delivered her purchase to her condo. They are open to suggestions. If there are products that people wantand they don’t have, they will attempt to get them.
The store’s tag line is Effortless Lifestyle Clothing and they feature easy wear, natural fibers and styles that are unique and not seen everywhere. They are proud that at least seven of the lines that they carry are made in the USA. Even their shopping bags are made in USA. One of their tee shirt lines features hand painting done in Michigan and the shirts are more like art rather than just plain tee shirts.
They feature clothes for women and girls with plus sizes in some lines. They will soon be carrying a men’s line as well. Some of the brands they carry are Luna Luz, XCVI, Spirit, Before and Again, Green Dragon, Michael Stars, Zen Knits, Maruska handprints, Sympli from Canada, Haiku sweaters in natural fibers, Yummie Tummies, Lisse Leggings, JPK Parishandbags, Hobo International handbags, scarves, belts, hats featuring Flora Bella and Scala, and accessories. They also feature Miracle Jeans which were listed as one of “Oprah’s Favorite Things”.
Their shoe and sandal line features Juno Shoe Girl with detachable ornaments, Mystique Sandals decorated with stones and Australian Crystals and more.
They have jewelry from pearls to crystal, semi-precious stones and Love Heals charms and necklaces as well as handmade Jewelry from Elligators, a Florida artist with a sea life motif in sterling silver/shells/pearls/stones. Also featuring Mayan Creations jewelry with magnetic clasps.
Beach Daisy is truly a gem among the wide array of tee shirt shops and high end boutiques in our area. Their prices are reasonable and their service is second to none.
They are located at 599 South Collier Blvd. in Marco Walk Plaza. Their telephone number is 394-0169. Stop in soon and see what a pleasure shopping can be.
