The Friends of Collier-Seminole State Park is sponsoring three upcoming star gazing events. Visitors will be viewing the night skies with The Everglades Astronomical Society. There will be an interpretive presentation followed by constellation tours using telescopes to view stars, galaxies, planets and nebulae.
The first will be held Saturday, Jan. 17, at 7 PM; the second on Saturday, March 14, at 7 PM; and Saturday, April 11, at 7:30 PM. The star gazing parties can only be held if the weather permits, and make sure to bring your chairs and insect repellant.
Regular park entrance fees — $5 per vehicle apply.
