Back by popular demand, the talent is taking the stage for the Third Annual Singin’ Broadway with all new songs and shows. Sponsored by Centennial Bank and Stephen B. Sawtelle, the Third Annual Singin’ Broadway is a special concert event featuring some of South Florida’s most talented singers, performing songs from your favorite Broadway musicals. They can’t wait to sing their way into your hearts, while you’re dancing along in your seats.

Carl Back is a Marco Island resident who was last seen in ITC’s production of “The Wizard of Oz,” where we fell in love with his portrayal of the Wizard. Carl has an extensive theater career and is back to join us for the third annual Singin’ Broadway. The Island Theater Company is grateful to have him lend his voice once again to this production.
Michael Bombyk and wife Karen split their time between Marco Island and Minneapolis. Mike played the role of Alphonse Frankenstein in ITC’s 2015 production of “Frankenstein: A New Musical.” He has sung with the Oratorio Society of Minnesota, the Naples Bach Ensemble, and the Naples Philharmonic Chorus. He is joining us again for this year’s Singin’ Broadway.
David Cortiza is a Miami-based electronic singer, songwriter, and performer. Music is a huge part of his life. What inspires him to follow his dreams is his mother and father, who immigrated to the U.S. from Cuba in the 1960s. Over two decades, David has gained extensive experience as a performer and been featured on various American and Spanish TV shows.
Craig Greusel, a Marco resident, brings audiences to their feet with performances as Don Quixote in “Man of La Mancha,” Barnum in “P.T. Barnum,” and Victor Frankenstein in ITC’s “Frankenstein: A New Musical,” returns to the stage for Singin’ Broadway. Craig is directing an encore performance of “Godspell -The Musical,” at the Marco Lutheran Church February 28- March 2.
Alexa “Lexie” Harrington started singing when she was 12. She lives on Marco Island and is a senior at the Community School of Naples, where she had lead roles in “High School Musical,” “Fame” and “The Pajama Game.” Lexie sang the National Anthem at a Red Sox game and has been a member of the Naples Philharmonic. Lexie is a returning cast member from 2017 Singin’ Broadway.
Eden Krumholz, 15, is a sophomore at Lely High School. Prior to moving to Marco Island, at eight, Eden was a munchkin in “The Wizard of Oz.” Seven years later she was the Scarecrow in ITC’s fall production of “The Wizard of Oz.” Through her church’s youth program in Vancouver, she performed in “The Grinch Who Stole Christmas” and “Elf.” Her first middle school production was as the Butler in “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.”
Edie Pagoni-Sawtelle, wife, mom, special needs advocate and actress, has performed in leading roles in numerous shows, such as: “Chicago,” “Godspell,” “Grease,” “How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying,” “Gypsy,” “Kennedy’s Children,” and “El Shaddai.”
Jean Rowles is one of the ITC co-founders. She has an extensive background of musical theater, both on the stage and behind the scenes. Her favorite roles include Marian the Librarian in “The Music Man” and a directing/performing stint in “Smokey Joe’s Café.” She a staff member of Marco Presbyterian Church.
Jared Wagner (a current Hart, Michigan resident) will be back on Marco Island for Singin Broadway. He has performed in many musicals including lead roles in “Hair Spray,” “Les Miserables,” “Beauty and the Beast,” and “Music Man.” His amazing vocal talent was showcased in ITC’s “Frankenstein: A New Musical,” “Saga of Roaring Gulch,” and “Annie.”
Kate Whitson-Alves has been singing from a very early age and has been in shows such as Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Meet Me in St Louis, Guys and Dolls and ITC’s Frankenstein: A New Musical as Elizabeth. Her son, Max, also starred in ITC’s Music Man Jr, as Winthrop and attends Tommie Barfield Elementary School. Kate was last seen as Auntie Em in our fall production of The Wizard Of Oz. Kate works as a professional in the aviation industry and resides on Marco.
Abby Yetter has performed in over 45 shows with community, regional and professional theaters across the country. Of the many shows, Abby held the leading role in 11 of them, with some of her favorite roles being Peter Pan, Annie, Oliver Twist and Cookie in Neil Simon’s “Rumors.” In 2000, Abby was cast as Annie by lyricist Martin Charnin for the show’s national tour revival but was unable to accept the role. She was Miss Hannigan in ITC’s “Annie.”
Rounding out the show is Morgan Broxson, Karen Anglin, Ryan Sullivan, the No Worries Band, and the cast of Godspell. Lucille Gaita is on the piano and there is a special encore performance by the ITC Backyard Company.
Singin’ Broadway will be performed at the Marco Lutheran Church, 525 N. Collier Blvd., Marco Island. Dates and times for Singin’ Broadway are February 8th and 9th at 7:30 PM and the matinee on Sunday, February 10th at 2:30 PM.
