Children and their adult and teenage guides celebrated the culmination of Marco Presbyterian Church’s Vacation Bible School at the June 24 worship service.
The lack of electricity did not dampen the children’s enthusiasm as they sang and danced to their favorite songs from the week. A battery powered boom box supplied the music and the children sang with gusto in the darkened sanctuary.
The children explored a Babylonian bazaar’s exotic sights and smells as they learned that they’re not much different from Daniel and his friends, who kept their faith in a faithless culture. There was even a surprise visit by a baby lion.
The worship service was followed by a BBQ dinner of hot dogs and hamburgers cooked on a propane grill.
