“The Board of Directors is excited to bring D on board to help us move forward and take the Art League to the next level,” said Nancy Carrington, President of the Art League. “Over the past year there have been numerous meetings with members and supporters of the Art League to lay the groundwork to restructure the organization to better meet its members’ needs. Heading that effort was in-coming President Ken Stroud.”
“All of us, from the committees to the Board, have put together our thoughts and ideas to develop a comprehensive strategic plan for the Art League’s future. We’re looking forward to utilizing D’s experience to help us to implement that plan,” said Stroud.
“There were over 70 qualified candidates from all over the country that applied for the Executive Director’s position, including some strong local candidates,” said Maury Dailey, Board Member and Search Committee Chairman. “In the end, it was a difficult task weighing all of the factors and needs that the Board was looking for. A methodical process was used for the selection. Search Committee Members Edythe Newborne and Barney Halashak were extremely important in the process, as well as Board Members, Aris Petropoulos, Inez Hudson and David Caruso. It was truly a team effort,” said Dailey.
The Art League invites everyone to join them at 5:30 on November 2, 2010 for our monthly First Tuesday event to meet D.
