Art at the Marco Island Library

The Marco Island Public Library and the Marco Island Center for the Arts work cooperatively to provide monthly art shows at the Marco Library branch on Heathwood Drive. Each artist will exhibit for two months. September and October 2013 will feature the works of Marco Island artists Katherine Rinaldo and Mohndera Gezall.

Kathleen (KAT) Nimtz Rinaldo has been involved with photography for over forty years as a photographer; art director and world traveler. First arriving on Marco in the late seventies, her love affair with the island — the skies, nature and architecture — began. With a BS and MA in Communications from the Universities of Wisconsin and William Paterson (NJ) she divides

her time between New Jersey and Marco Island. Her work can be seen on Marco Island; in Old Naples and Wisconsin Rapids, WI.

Mohndera Gezall is a colorist. She loves color. “It makes me Happy! Happiness, I believe is something that is cultivated in one’s life. The lure of colorful expressive art engages our senses. When I experience the juxtaposition of bright bold colors I feel happy – I am free to create, enjoy and to just BE – this experience often leads to even more happiness! My intention is that my art allows others just to take a moment and find enjoyment and happiness in the color of life as it unfolds around them!”
