Art and Afternoon Tea

The Local Color Art Gallery hosted an afternoon tea and studio-tour for The Marco Players’ theater’s volunteers, actors, and artists. After being greeted with glasses of champagne and a buffet filled with culinary delights made by the gallery’s own artists, the theater guests were treated to a short talk. Each artist spoke briefly about the processes used in creating their unique work.

The tea was prompted by Marco Players’ president Beverly Dahlstrom as a thank you for all who donated

 

 

their time and effort to making the 2016-2017 theater season a success. Over thirty volunteers spend valuable time ushering, working the lights, building sets, managing set changes, taking ticket reservations, directing, and acting in plays.

Different local artists are also featured in The Marco Player’s theater. They donate time to deliver and hang their work. The theater will be finishing up the season with its final play “Heaven Help Us,” featuring the exhibits of artists Patti Perrotti and Gail Risner.
