American Cancer Society Imagination Ball

Phoenix Roofing Presents ‘A Magical Night to Finish the Fight’

There will be magic in the air the evening of February 1, 2019 in the new Banyan Ballroom at the JW Marriott Marco Island as Phoenix Roofing presents the 2019 American Cancer Society Imagination Ball, “A Magical Night to Finish the Fight.” This gala fundraiser, chaired by Debra Shanahan for the seventh consecutive year, will feature fine food, music, both live and silent auctions, and the presentation of the prestigious Grado Award to Marco Island residents Gary and Anne Landis.

Presenting sponsor, Phoenix Roofing & Construction, Inc. is no stranger to the concept of magic. In the aftermath of Hurricane Irma, they have accomplished marvelous feats for the people of Marco Island. Founded in 2011, the business is family owned and operated. Partners Rick Hewitt, Jameson Hewitt and Jeremy Obrecht have more than 20 years of roofing experience across Texas, Oklahoma, Illinois, Wisconsin and South Florida.

Phoenix Roofing has always displayed a strong commitment to the communities where they live and work. The company became aware of the American Cancer Society Imagination Ball after completing the roof on the home of Debra Shanahan. Like so many, cancer has impacted the lives of the families, close friends and employees of Phoenix Roofing. “Cancer is a terrible disease that affects far too many people,” says Phoenix partner Jameson Hewitt. “Unfortunately, we are feeling those effects right now within our family and company. We are just glad we can do something to help.” Rick Hewitt’s sister, who is Jameson’s aunt, is battling a rare form of blood cancer. Sadly, her son recently received a cancer diagnosis as well. One of Phoenix Roofing’s top salesmen is currently battling throat cancer, and their National Sales Manager recently lost his grandfather to the disease.

Phoenix Roofing strives to become a lasting part of the Marco Island community. They know that so many residents of this magical island were impacted both physically and emotionally from the devastation wrought by Hurricane Irma. They know in their hearts that a home is far more than just a structure with walls and a roof. For Phoenix Roofing, a home is an extension of families and friends; a collection of memories and precious moments; a magical celebration of life!

Please join us on February 1, 2019 to make new memories, share precious moments and celebrate life with “A Magical Night to Finish the Fight” against this deadly disease. Imagine a world without cancer.
