The Marco Island Branch of the American Association of University Women (AAUW) will be meeting on November 14 at 10:30 a.m. in the Rose Auditorium of the Marco Island Library. The meeting will feature a program honoring World War II women at home and in the service. Guests are welcome to attend.
AAUW is a leading national voice promoting education and equity for women and girls. The Marco Island Branch offers local scholarships for girls and supports women returning to education. Among the many activities the organization offers are discussion groups, book clubs, dinner and lunch groups, bridge groups, creative writing and cultural activities. Membership is open to anyone with an associates degree or equivalent or a bachelors degree or greater from a regionally accredited college.
