On Saturday, January 8, 2011, 4-7PM, St. Mark’s Episcopal Church will host “A Taste of St. Mark’s…Food & Faith Festival, Celebrate St. Mark’s Ministries.”
The festival is filled with Food Stations, Fun Activities, and will highlight the many ministries of St. Mark’s.
To kick-off the festival The Right Reverend Dabney T. Smith, Fifth Bishop of Southwest Florida will bless the “Community Garden” a new ministry to St. Mark’s. The “Community Garden” plots are available to parishioners and the community to plant their favorite vegetables, fruits, and flowers.
The ministries will be stationed throughout the St. Mark’s campus. Each ministry will highlight what they do and will inform their visitors about what their ministry does and who they serve. Food Stations will be available at several of the ministry booths. The Flea Market Ministry will be located at the storage building and will grill hotdogs, The Music Ministry will host a Wine & Cheese in the Music Room, the Episcopal Church Women will host a Salad Bar Station in the Parish Hall, The Brotherhood Men’s Group will serve appetizers and their favorite beverages, and the Youth Group has several fun activities planned including a chocolate fountain in the Youth Room, in The Rolande G. Willis Ministry Center, just to name a few.
Plan to attend “A Taste of St. Mark’s…Food & Faith Festival; Celebrate St. Mark’s Ministries”, Saturday, January 8, 2011, 4-7PM. Besides all the fun and great food there is an added incentive to encourage everyone to visit the ministry booths. As they stroll around the St. Mark’s campus and if they visit all the ministry booths they will be eligible for a $100 raffle ticket drawing for a chance to win the $10,000, at the St. Mark’s Mardi Gras Celebration event, January 30, 2011, at the Island Country Club.
