Thirteen well-travelled gourmands, members of the Sunshine Sisters of Marco Island took their appetite and sense of adventure across the Jolley Bridge to East Naples to sample a veritable smorgasbord of Tex-Mex tacos.
Tacos & Tequila Cantina (T&T) in Kings Lake Square in East Naples offers both traditional and non-traditional tacos served on either hard or soft shells with choices of corn or flour tortilla.
Tacos are the main attraction at T&T with an impressive selection of their very own creation. Their traditional tacos are made with soft corn tortillas that are lightly grilled or steamed.

A basket of their crispy nachos served with a jar of their own light and tangy tomato salsa is served as you deliberate on your taco choices.

Feeling adventurous? Try the Baja Taco with crispy, Shiner Bock beerbattered or grilled mahi-mahi with jalapeno cilantro slaw and avocado crema sauce. Es muy delicioso!
Remember the taco that your mom made? “Mom’s Taco” is served with hard shell, Ortega-style seasoned ground beef, shredded lettuce, tomato and cheddar jack cheese. On Tuesdays, Mom’s Taco is only $2 each and you may combine it with any of T&T tacos.

Tacos and Tequila is an edgy and funky “Tex Mex” restaurant showcasing their taco creations with very non-traditional Mexican décor. You see skulls everywhere depicted a la Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) theme, but not in a creepy Halloween sort of way. T&T also has a shop next door selling t-shirts bearing their logo – a skull wearing a Mexican sombrero.
Tacos & Tequila Cantina is located at 4834 David Blvd., Kings Lake Square, East Naples. The restaurant is open 11 AM-11 PM daily.
