The Arts Alliance Committee of the Goodland Civic Association announces the 6th Annual Members Arts & Crafts Fair, Sunday, January 27, 10 AM to 4 PM, at MarGood Harbor Park in Goodland. The event, featuring fine art, unique crafts, and live music, coincides with Goodland’s world famous Mullet Festival – a cultural extravaganza unto itself.
Adding to the fun, there will be a Pancake Breakfast, Saturday and Sunday, 8:30 – 11:30 AM at the Community Center, 417 Mango Street. On Sunday there will be volunteer golf-cart shuttles ferrying folks between village venues.
One of the more positive occurrences following the wake of Hurricane Irma, was the merging of the Goodland Arts Alliance into the Goodland Civic Association. The GAA, now the Arts Alliance Committee of the GCA, remains dedicated to the mission to preserve, promote, and advance the cultural presence in the historic fishing village of Goodland. The village may be tiny, but the talent and tenacity is mighty!
The venue, MarGood Harbor Park, holds well-documented historic and environmental significance. Today native landscaping and lovely walkways wrap around a charming harbor-front. The park also features a museum/interpretive center, two open-air pavilions, and kayak launch.
Remember: if it’s in Goodland, you know it’s good!
