The City of Marco Island and First Integrity Bank are pleased to announce the 50th Anniversary Concert in the Park on November 21st at Veterans Community Park, 4-9:00 PM. The concert is free to the public and offers a great line-up of entertainment.
The first session will be provided by the Marco Island Charter Middle School Jazz Band, followed by the popular Little Eddie and the Fat Fingers Band. If that wasn’t enough, next up is the crowd-pleasing man himself, Jim Long. The featured guest for the evening will be the Nowhere Band, a Beatles tribute band bringing back Beatles favorites like It’s Been a Hard Day’s Night, Twist and Shout, Lucy in the Sky, I Want to Hold Your Hand, Ticket to Ride, Roll Over Beethoven, Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club, Let it Be, Imagine, and so many more! Local DJ Steve Reynolds will be our emcee for this event.
According to the City’s Community Events Coordinator Samantha Malloy, “We’ve been working on this project, along with the Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee, for a few months. Their support, and support from local businesses has been great. We are so excited about the line-up; it is going to be a fun evening! This is a fitting honor for Marco Island’s 50th Anniversary, a celebration open to the public. Food and beverages will be available for purchase, but entry to the concert is free.”
As with many of the larger events, lawn chairs are welcome, but coolers will not be allowed.
