That’s how much the Marco Island Area Chamber of Commerce turned over to Christmas Island Style on December 19th. The occasion was the Chamber’s monthly After Five event. This one, in keeping with recent tradition, was held at the Marco Island Hilton Hotel. Incoming Chamber President Nancy Carrington turned over all proceeds from 100 generous attendees to Christmas Island Style Chairman Steve Stephanides. VERIZON OFFICE OPEN
By Coastal Breeze News Staff The Electronics Age took another step forward on Marco Island with a ribbon cutting on March 6th at the new Verizon office on North Collier Boulevard. The Marco Island Area Chamber of Commerce furnished the ribbon and giant scissors for the ceremonial event. Bruce Catovianco, Chief Operating Officer and co-owner of the establishment presided on behalf of Verizon and the local staff. CELEBRATION!
By Coastal Breeze News Staff It was the night to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the Marco Island Area Chamber of Commerce at the Island Country Club on January 15. Not only that – to complete a triple-header, it was graduation night for the 2011 class of Leadership Marco, and the Chamber inducted its 2012 president and board of directors. All attendees received pins commemorating the anniversary.
