Submitted The Island Theater Company’s musical romp of the old Wild West, “Saga Of Roaring Gulch,” has reopened, featuring music director and piano player extraordinaire, Lucille Gaita. “We Love Lucille” is the mantra of the cast and crew of the Saga production. Submitted The Christmas House and Business Decorating Committee met recently for the annual Committee Pot Luck Supper, hosted this year by Paula and Richard Robinson. Final preparations were completed for the 19th Annual Christmas House and Business Decorating Contest. Excitement is building among Marco Island residents, and early decorations are already being installed. The Marco Island community is known for its enthusiastic holiday decorations and Christmas spirit. Residents and visitors alike drive around the island to enjoy the innovative decorations. Submitted Returning to Marco Island for its 9th consecutive year, the Naples Philharmonic Brass Quintet will perform Saturday evening, February 28th, 2015, at 7:30 pm, at the Jewish Congregation of Marco Island, as part of the Saul I. Stern Cultural Series. The performance will take place at the Synagogue, located at 991 Winterberry Drive. The Brass Quintet consists of leading musicians from the Naples Philharmonic Orchestra. Business/Non House Facility Winner Tradewinds Condominium The Marco Island House and Business Decorating Contest final judging took place on December 19th from 6:30 -10:30 PM. Judging teams traveled every street on the Island to view over 1600 properties displaying Christmas décor. Plaques were presented to the Top 10 Home Contest Finalists. The Winner of the Business/Non House Facility Contest received a plaque and a yard sign for annual display. The House Decorating winner received a Winners plaque, yard sign and $250.00. Pink Out is an evening of volleyball between Lely players and rivals Naples High School. T-shirt sales carrying the Pink Out theme are sold before and during the game. The JV team lost their bid against Naples High in three games. The games were close though, the last of which was 13-15, Naples High.
