Vintage Bay is a tranquil, secluded gated community located off San Marco Road with only 132 condos. It is nestled on about 20 acres of lush plantings and mature tropical trees along the edge of Barfield Bay. The four identical buildings A, B, C and D were built between 1997 and 2006. Each low-density midrise seven-story building has 33 condos, including three penthouses on the top floor. Last week 14 condos were for sale. They range in size from a two bedroom, two bathroom, 1,637 square foot condo listed for $295,000 to a three bedroom, three bathroom, 2,738 square foot penthouse listed at $657,500.
The two bedroom condo includes customized crown molding, granite counters, hurricane shutters, new air-conditioning, water heater and washer and dryer. The penthouse has a custom wood/granite surfaces in a huge island kitchen, sprawling living/dining room, two master suites, a third bedroom with a murphy bed, sliding glass door enclosed “Florida room” with high impact glass for up to 150 mph winds, and both screened and open lanais.
The condos are described as spacious, light and airy with an open concept design. High ceilings and panoramic views from the lanais are a given. Spectacular sunset views over Barfield Bay with the Marco Island skyline in the distance are memorable. The large private lanais are perfect for relaxing or entertaining while watching big sky views of rainbows and clouds during the day and planets and stars at night.
The community is pet friendly, offers assigned parking in the under building garage and has a pleasant clubhouse with fully equipped kitchen between buildings B and C. Adjacent to the clubhouse is a screened and heated pool with a private boardwalk through the protected mangroves to a gazebo on Barfield Bay. This is a perfect spot to relax, fish or watch hundreds of birds like egrets and herons engage in their daily rituals. Dolphin sightings are frequent. Vintage Bay has been described as a nature lover’s paradise tucked away for serenity.
Vintage Bay condos are newer and bigger than most on Marco Island and provide good value. The complex is close to shopping, restaurants and Marco Island’s crescent beach.
