Prayer Breakfast Offers Message of Hope

By Coastal Breeze News Staff

Marco Island churches, for more than three decades, have come together to hold a prayer breakfast, acknowledging the need for God’s blessing in our community’s affairs.

The 34th Annual Marco Island Prayer Breakfast will take place on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 from 7:30 to 9 AM at the JW Marriott Beach Resort, Palms Ballroom. Music will be provided by Billy Dean and Dawn Birch.

This year Bob Williamson will be the guest speaker. Williamson is the author of “Miracle on Luckie Street,” the CEO of the Williamson Group USA and the writer of a daily devotional column. His list of accomplishments includes being the founder of 11 successful companies, a finalist for Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year (2007), and Gwinnett Business Person of the Year (2006).

What makes Williamson different from other multimillionaires is that he once was a homeless drug addict. Williamson struggled after he was kicked out of the military, and became a violent criminal with a record. He was alone and lacked faith. When Williamson reached his lowest point he even contemplated suicide. A chance encounter with a merciful nurse, following a horrific car accident, helped Williamson change his life for the better. The story of Williamson’s amazing personal turnaround will give proof that in today’s frenetic world, hope still exists.

Tickets are $25 and include a full breakfast. Tickets can be purchased at Marco Island churches, at the Marco Island Chamber of Commerce, by visiting marcoislandprayerbreakfast.com, or by calling 615-584-7225.
