What does a young vibrant woman do when she receives the news she has stage III C breast cancer? A woman known for her vitality, her hard work and her positive outlook does not give up. Especially, a strong lady who lived a healthy lifestyle, no less.

Rebecca Burg was used to living life on her own terms. She was surprised at the curve life threw in her path, so she had to adjust. Now she uses her energies, her emotions and creativity in a way to help her work through the ordeal and maybe, along the way, help a few others with their challenges too, particularly those dealing with cancer. Thus, the website RiseofCourage.com was born. It describes, in Rebecca’s own words, her illness and treatments.

The website has provided Rebecca with an outlet for her immense creativity, and an opportunity to share her experiences with others. Rebecca has been perfecting her artistic side all her life. She’s had formal training in graphic design, illustration and art therapy. The website also features books Rebecca has written: “The Human and the Hunted,” “Odd Jobs,” and “Sail With Me.” Her newest project is the most exciting to date: Seeking Serenity-a coloring book with meaning. The coloring book will feature elegant hand-drawn images of loved ones you want to honor (or memorialize), whether it be a person or a pet. Her process of taking a photo or picture and turning it into a hand-drawn, highly detailed artistic image is where Rebecca’s incredible talent really stands out. A compilation of these images will be published in a coloring book, available for sale on Amazon.com and distributed worldwide.

Pets, and people, may be memorialized into Rebecca’s coloring book, which will be distributed worldwide.

So if you’d like to purchase a full page or a half page space, provide an image to Rebecca with any pertinent details. Rebecca will take the photo supplied to turn that image into an outline, drawing-ready for coloring. She will let you approve the image prior to publishing it in the book. Proceeds from the book will help with cancer-related medical expenses, as well as provide you with a beautiful, precious coloring book. The deadline is fast approaching.
