Boys & Girls Club of Collier County launches 2014-2015 after-school programs

–          Main Campus (7500 Davis Blvd. Naples, Fla. 34104)

–          Manatee Middle School (1920 Manatee Rd. Naples, Fla. 34114)

–          Tommie Barfield Elementary School (101 Kirkwood St. Marco Island, Fla. 34145)

–          Immokalee Middle School (401 N Ninth St. Immokalee, Fla. 34142)

–          Immokalee High School (701 Immokalee Dr. Immokalee, Fla. 34142)

The Club, which provides after-school programming for youth ages six to 18, has programs which focus on five core areas: character and leadership development, education and career development, health and life skills, the arts, and sports, fitness and recreation. The 2014-2015 after-school programs will begin Aug. 18 and are available each day after school.

During the after-school programs, Club members are able to enjoy a variety of enrichment activities such as tutoring and mentoring, vocational and technical training, music and dance, organized sports, STEM (science, technology, engineering, mathematics) programs and more, as well as receive a hot, nutritious meal each day.

“The out-of-school hours are a critical time for local youth. The Club offers them a safe place to come each day and provides them necessary tools to achieve success. We’re excited to welcome new and returning Club members to this year’s after-school programs,” said Paul Schultz, Vice President of Operations at the Boys & Girls Club of Collier County.
