Marco Beach Resort Gets New GM
The Marco Beach Ocean Resort announced it has appointed Joseph Fisher as general manager. Fisher will be responsible for all day-to-day operations of the all-suite hotel.
Fisher brings a wealth of hotel management experience to the Marco Beach Ocean Resort, ranging from hotel operations to food and beverage. Most recently, he served as director of food and beverage for the Waldorf Astoria, a four-star luxury property located in the heart of Park City, Utah. Prior to that, Fisher was executive assistant manager for the Conrad Miami Hotel. Fisher also previously held leadership positions with the four-star Hyatt Regency Pier 66 in Fort Lauderdale, the 2,500-room Rio-All Suite Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, the ever-popular Delano Hotel in South Beach, and the Four Seasons Hotel & Resorts in both Atlanta and Miami.

Fiddler’s Creek Appoints New VP of Marketing Communications
Fiddler’s Creek has appointed Jennifer Nicholson as vice president of marketing communications. In this role, Nicholson is responsible for overseeing all marketing, public relations and strategic communications for the luxury, master-planned community located off Collier Boulevard on the way to Marco Island.
“We are delighted to add a knowledgeable and experienced professional such as Jennifer Nicholson to lead our marketing activities at Fiddler’s Creek,” said Aubrey J. Ferrao, managing member of Fiddler’s Creek Community LLC. “She will be instrumental as we develop the remaining 4,000 residences to be built in this residential community.”
Nicholson has more than 15 years of professional marketing experience, specializing in residential development. Prior to joining Fiddler’s Creek, she was vice president of marketing communications for The Cliffs Communities in Greenville, South Carolina. Before that, she was an account director at Jackson Marketing Group. A South Carolina native, Nicholson earned a bachelor of arts degree from Washington and Lee University.
