Combine drawing, painting and a variety of three-dimensional materials for an unusual and distinctive Purely Abstract result with Shirley Blake. The Bonita Springs resident and award-winning artist has more than 30 years working in various media, with the last 15 years focusing on abstract acrylic painting and collage. Blake encourages everyone to try abstract art because it’s a great opportunity “to do your own thing.” The Purely Abstract workshop, which is geared to students of all levels, meets on March 31-April 3rd from 9:30-3:30pm. The cost for members is $200 and for nonmembers $250. For more information, contact the Marco Island Center for the Arts or visit the Center’s website at www.marcoislandart.com.
