Seafood Festival

A small group of dedicated volunteers has been busy planning the 5th Annual Marco Island Seafood Festival which will take place at Veteran’s Community Park on March 23rd and 24th. Each year the committee fine tunes the event making it better and better. One major change this year, the festival will no longer be billed solely as a Seafood Festival. It was decided since most of the attendees of the Festival loved the music almost as much as the food, and the festival did showcase headliners such as the Landsharks, “music” should have equal billing. Rightly so! The new name: Marco Island Seafood and Music Fest.

In addition to the music, there will be the same delicious and delectable seafood selections, grouper, shrimp, crawfish, and scallops, and so much more served in a variety of ways. For those who prefer a land-lubbers fair, there will be contemporary faire such as hamburgers, hotdogs, chicken fingers, salads, etc.

And there’s so much more…The Kids Zone will feature the same fun bungee jumping, rock climbing wall and bounce houses attractions that are so popular. The City of Marco Island Parks and Rec Department will offer face painting, coloring and games, too. For those who love to shop, 60 vendors will be showing you their latest creations. Come early, enjoy the food, shop, play and dance the day away….
