The Annual Everglades Homes Tour is the highlight event for this weekend on Saturday, March 9, from 1 to 5 PM. Come visit some of our oldest homes and buildings in Collier County. The cost is $20 and includes a souvenir book. Tickets are available from the Everglades Society for Historic Preservation’s website at www.evergladeshistorical.org or at the Art-in-the-Glades which will be taking place at McLeod Park beginning at 10 AM that same day.

Also, on the same day from 1 to 3 PM, the Friends of the Museum of the Everglades will be hosting a reception for the artists whose work will be on display in the Pauline Reeves Gallery for the month of March. The title of the exhibit is “Plein Air Fakahatchee” and features various artists of the Arts at Fakahatachee group. The Museum is open Tuesday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM and on Saturday from 9 AM to 4 PM. There is no admission fee but donations are welcome.
Join us for a nostalgic Movie Night when we show two episodes of the 1960’s TV series “The Everglades” on Friday, March 15, at 5:30 PM. in the Jinkins Fellowship Hall at Everglades Community Church. This event (with free popcorn and soda!) is sponsored by Everglades Society for Historic Preservation. It is free of charge and open to the public.
