On Tuesday, December 18, the Everglades City students will celebrate the holidays with a very special concert at 6:00 PM in the Cafeteria. The following weekend, Saturday, December 21, Mayor Sammy Hamilton will be hosting his annual luncheon for residents followed by Santa Claus’ visit at 3:30 PM at the Community Center, bringing gifts to the area children. At 5:30 PM, the whole community joins together at City Hall to decorate the City Christmas Tree. Carols are sung and refreshments served.
If you missed meeting Inez Hudson at her reception at the Museum of the Everglades, her wonderful paintings will still be on exhibit through the month of December. The title is “Everglades – Near and Dear.” The Museum is open Tuesday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM and Saturday from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
