Adam Lowery was shocked to learn that it took 50 gallons of water to wash his car just one time. Fifty gallons! With water rates as high as they are, and on the rise, Lowery was looking to find a way to save both water and money when it came to keeping his car clean. The entrepreneur and new resident of Marco Island spent two years developing a product that actually makes it possible to wash one’s car without any water. Not even one drop! Lowery is now sharing his miracle product with Marco Island and beyond.
EcoDetail is Lowery’s water-free approach to protecting your vehicle, wallet and nature.
“When I saw my first water bill after I moved to Marco, I thought this will really fit down here. I can save people money and show my love for the environment.” His patent-pending, all-green products are designed to leave your car sparkling inside and out.
Lowery offers two services: the EcoDetail and the EcoRevive. Using only two products, Lowery’s EcoDetail option cleans and waxes the full exterior, including tires, rims and windows as well the interior dash, console, doors, trim, seats and carpet. EcoRevive offers all of the above, plus a claybar bath on all exterior paint, a scratch treatment, headlamp and trim revive, and on the interior, a seat conditioning and revive, carpet renewal and a ventilation treatment.
Lowery has managed to create an at-home car care service that doesn’t utilize a hose or electricity. “I don’t use fuel, generators, buffers or waxers. I’m virtually silent.”
Lowery spent two years developing his product and testing it on his own vehicle before finding the perfect naturally-occurring solution. “What my product does is act like oil and water.” Lowery coats the car with his eco-friendly product which leaves a protective coat on the car and lifts dirt and grime to the top. He then wipes the dirt and grime off with a microfiber cloth, leaving the car both waxed and sparkling clean.
So far, Southwest Florida seems pleased with the product. Acting as a consultant, Lowery is working with the Ritz-Carlton in Naples as it develops its own detailing department. As a part of the Ritz-Carlton’s green campaign, it will utilize Lowery’s products and techniques. Classic Transportation of Marco Island has also just signed on with EcoDetail as a commercial fleet customer entrusting all 24 of its vehicles to Lowery.
Looking to share his product with the rest of Marco Island, Lowery is offering his EcoDetail service to individuals for $50 through December 1, 2012. Normally a $75 cost, Lowery sees the savings opportunity as a way to forge new bonds. “People develop relationships with their car detailer just like they do with their hair dresser. Once they’ve seen me ‘blessing their car’ as I like to call it, they don’t want anyone else to touch it.”
