It’s no longer IF we will need to fight, but WHEN we will need to fight…CANCER

This week, my second sister, Tami, age 49, was diagnosed with cancer. The mass is pushing up against her heart and arteries to her neck. Tests are being completed to determine where the cancer starts and to put a plan of “attack” in place.

Five years ago my sister Jamie, at age 50, developed cancer. After a double mastectomy, chemo, radiation…she lives with fear daily. “Will it come back?” Three years ago, my mother was given the news, “You have Cancer.” Six months later her fight was over, and she passed. I have lost cousins, uncles, grandparents, friends…to this horrible disease.

Within the past 7 months, I have received 6 calls and 2 letters from dear and loving customers, that their spouse has lost the fight. I wonder personally, for myself, “when will I begin my fight?” Between the air we breathe, the water we drink, the food we eat, the bath products we use, and the chemicals all around us…it seems inevitable.

For so many years, I have wondered about deodorant and how it could be causing breast cancer. It stops you from sweating and gets into your lymph nodes? Have you ever read the label on children’s bubble bath? It is actually a warning label, easily removed and not read. Did you know if a child ate a tube of toothpaste, it could kill them? And yet manufacturers, enhance it with yummy flavors, and put the warning on the box, that is readily thrown away and again not read. Have you ever tried to pronounce some of the ingredients on packaged food labels? Do you wonder what is in the soil that your fruits and vegetables are grown in?

We already know about the manipulation of wheat over the past 50 years, and how it has caused so many health issues. At least a half dozen of our customers, daily, request our gluten free menu. Some people think gluten is just wheat products, but it is also a preservative. We need to continually educate ourselves and look for healthier options. Many of us have changed our eating habits, eating gluten-free, become vegan or buying only organic.

As I am planning my trip to visit my sister Tami in Texas, I am also educating myself more on how to help her in her fight. One of the ways I am going to help is to get her on a special food program. I am going to make her 16 nutritionally filled drinks each and every day, by blending fresh fruits and vegetables. I have already asked her to totally remove sugar from her diet, because it feeds the cancer. I have asked her to eliminate milk products.

Tami’s doctors have advised her she needs to start radiation tomorrow, to try to reduce the size of the tumor on her heart, as they continue to put a “plan of attack” together to begin her fight! The words radiation and chemo…ugh! My plan is to help keep her healthy cells as nutritionally fed as possible and to help give her the strength she needs to fight this battle.

Ten years ago, I would have said 1 in 5 would develop Cancer, but the numbers now suggest it is 1 out of 3. I have read many books on Cancer cures, and www.cancernaturalcure.com quotes” researchers at the University of Victoria in British Columbia did a careful follow up on 200 persons who underwent a spontaneous remission of cancer. They found that 87% of those persons had switched diets, usually to a vegetarian diet.

“Fruits, such as oranges and bananas, and leafy green and yellow vegetables, including carrots and broccoli, all contain cancer preventing vitamins and fiber, and should be a part of everyone’s daily diet,” says the National Cancer Institute.

“To prevent and cure cancer we must keep our body’s immune system high. This is done by following eight simple rules that I will briefly cover here. Lots of fresh air, using lots of pure water, eating lots of wholesome natural foods, getting sufficient rest, moderate daily exercise, getting outside in the sun everyday, being temperate in all we eat and do and having faith in God.”

“Every one of us has cancer cells within us. Cancer has to be treated by building the body’s immune system then the body’s white blood cells, etc. will attack and destroy the cancer from within. Cancer cells are weaker than normal cells and will not get out of control if our immune system is high.”

If you or someone you love is fighting this battle, I encourage you to educate yourselves.

My best wishes and prayers are with you, and all your prayers are welcome for my sister Tami in her “FIGHT”
