The Board of County Commissioners has voted to accept a wildlife crossing constructed within Immokalee Road right-of-way three miles west of the Hendry County line. City Gate Development, LLC, as mitigation for its business park near the intersection of Collier Boulevard and I-75, constructed a wildlife crossing east of Immokalee on County Road 864 (Immokalee Road) at a cost of $1.3 million. The Board of County Commissioners today approved a Letter of Understanding with the Tax Collector’s office that formalizes the arrangement between the Tax Collector’s office and the Collier County Library for joint use of the Everglades City satellite office/library. The Collier County Solid Waste Management Department is partnering with multiple agencies and vendors to provide residents with two opportunities to reduce, reuse, and recycle their unwanted items.
