By Coastal Breeze News Staff A wonderful time was had by all at the Marco Men’s Club annual Hurricane Ball, that was held last Thursday at the Hideaway Beach Club. The festivities began at 5:30 with a Happy Hour for greeting each other and socializing. At 6:30 Ray Rosenberg and Jack DeHanas took to the microphone and began this year’s door prize drawings. Teaching to fish
By Coastal Breeze News Staff Eight members from the Marco Sportfishing Club were at Port of the Isles Marina on Saturday morning, October 15th, to help out at the Collier County Sea Grant Extension Program’s Kids’ Fishing Clinic for National Wildlife Week. FWC officers, including canine officer Jasmine, a lobster-sniffing expert, were also there to help the kids. About 60 kids from the Immokalee area were brought to the event and went through “learning stations” where they were taught about fish identification, fishing “ethics”, conservation, how to tie knots, and what needs to be in a tackle box.
