Preliminary information – On 08/05/2011 at approximately 2:52PM Officers from the Marco Island Police Department were dispatched to a hit and run / injury crash at the intersection of North Collier Blvd and North Barfield Drive.  While enroute to the scene MIPD also received calls of multiple crashes on East Elkcam Circle as well as North Barfield at Lilac Ave.  Communications advised that all of the callers reported that a gold Toyota Camry had been involved in the crashes and fled the scene.  One of the callers had followed the Toyota Camry to a residence on Mulberry Court and was ... The City is in the early stages of reviewing its Comprehensive Plan and encourages all citizens and businesses to help out in the process. The Comprehensive Plan (also known as the Growth Management Plan) is the “vision” document for the City. State law requires citizens and City officials to review it every few years, under the guidance of the Planning Board. The City of Marco Island Community Affairs Department has created a website to make citizen participation in the process easy and convenient.
