Knights of Columbus installation of officers

On July 19, 2011 The Knights of Columbus of San Marco Catholic Church, conducted a solemn Installation of Officers. Dr. Albino Bismonte is the new Grand Knight for Council 6344 following the two year term of Jose Granda. Lou Prigge became Faithful Navigator of Assembly 2514 following Wayne Waldack in the position.

Rev. Timothy Navin, Pastor of San Marco Church celebrated Mass and bestowed a special blessing on the new officers and their spouses. The Knights of Columbus live by four principles: charity, unity, fraternity and patriotism. They are committed to the Church, family, country and community and work actively to promote the faith and well being of all members of their community by good works and charity.

A celebratory dinner was served following Mass prepared by brother Knights led by Bill Crist and Gerry Gibbons. During the evening, Mike Stapleton, designated Council Lecturer, shared the positive influence of a number of priests on his education and development as a mature Catholic.

Grand Knight Al Bismonte presented outgoing Grand Knight, Joe Granda, with a plaque recognizing his outstanding efforts on behalf of the Council.

Lee Cataldi was named Knight of the month and Mike & Janet Stapleton were recognized as Family of the month.
