(Marco Island, Florida – March 1, 2011) To offer buyers the convenience of touring dozens of homes for sale in one weekend, Marco Island Area Association of REALTORS® and their clients will be hosting open houses as part of the second annual Florida Open House Weekend, March 26-27, 2011. Sponsored by the 115,000-member Florida Realtors, it’s the largest open house weekend event in the nation.
“It’s a home shopper’s dream,” exclaims Bill Filbin, President, Marco Island Area Association of Realtors. “For the serious buyer, the opportunity to tour dozens of homes in one weekend is a real time saver. Others who didn’t think they could afford a home may be drawn into the market by affordable prices and low interest rates. It’s a win-win!”
The Florida Open House Weekend coincides with the state’s historically active spring home-selling season and is culmination of Welcome Home Week, March 21-27 – a week-long celebration of the benefits of homeownership.
“The Open House Weekend offers people a convenient way to see as many homes as they want in one weekend and gives our members a chance to be part of this fantastic effort to match buyers to their sellers,” says Filbin. He adds the weekend will be a fun way to attract buyers and help them learn more about what is available in the local housing market.
