On October 7, the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) invited the public to discuss future plans for changes at the intersection of Route 951 and Route 41 in East Naples. Representatives were on hand to explain information that they had posted on display boards at the Habitat for Humanity building located on Tamiami Trail.
Many people showed up to find out more about the possible construction of an overpass or alternative construction plans. The various topics included: An Ultimate Overpass Plan to be completed by 2035, and a Phase One – Interim Plan; also: Alternatives for Further Evaluation, Build Alternative Advantages, and Build Alternative Disadvantages, Traffic Flow, Safety Issues to be Addressed, and more.
Visitors were invited to give their feedback by writing their comments down on paper for consideration by Collier County.
