A good time to buy

Positive Projections  Two top economists recently offered encouraging news for the housing market. NAR Chief Economist Lawrence Yun and Moody’s Economy.com Chief Economist Mark Zandi are predicting a slightly stronger demand for housing going into 2011. The two expect mortgage interest rates to remain historically low and the availability of jumbo loans to improve. According to Susan Ackerson, President of the Marco Island Area Association of Realtors®, the Marco Island market mirrors the projections. Police donate backpacks to shelter

Members of the Marco Island Police Department have donated 23 backpacks, all fully stocked with school supplies, to the Shelter for Abused Women and Children. The Shelter, which provides services to Marco Island, assists more then 1,100 child victims and survivors of domestic violence through safety, intervention, and direct support annually. The project was spearheaded by School Resource Officer Al Schettino. Marco Island Law Enforcement Officers,  are happy to be able to assist the Shelter in providing children with the tools they need to learn and be successful.
